What is a floating translator?
A floating translator displays a translation in a small window that remains visible while you use another app. On supported iPhone and iPad devices, HoverLingo uses iOS Picture in Picture so the result can stay above a browser, reader, or chat app.
How to use HoverLingo as a floating translator
- Open HoverLingo and select the language you want to read.
- Start the floating translation window and return to the app containing the text.
- Copy a sentence, paragraph, or message as normal.
- HoverLingo detects the copied text, identifies its original language, and shows the translation in the floating window.
Translate between languages, not just into English
